Experience the Changing Seasons of Mt. Fuji
magichour camp calyptus is surrounded by the mountains and forests of Shizuoka,
where each season brings a different atmosphere and experience.
From the clear skies and autumn colors of the cooler months to the fresh greenery of spring, the landscape around the campsite changes throughout the year.
Because this is a mountain camping experience, weather and temperatures can vary considerably between seasons.
International Guest Season
We welcome international guests during the following periods:
Autumn
September 28 – December 25
Spring
March 1 – June 20
These are our regular international guest seasons, when the weather is generally suitable for camping in our mountain environment.
During the summer months, we do not normally accept international bookings because the heat and humidity can make camping difficult and uncomfortable.
Winter is also outside our regular booking period, but if you would especially like to experience the campsite during winter, please feel free to contact us. Depending on the weather and conditions, we may be able to welcome you as a special request.
Autumn — September to December
Autumn is one of the most beautiful times to visit.
The weather gradually becomes cooler, the air becomes crisp, and the surrounding forest begins to change color.
Clearer days can offer beautiful views of Mt. Fuji, while the cooler evenings are perfect for enjoying a fire and spending time around the campsite.
Please bring warm layers, especially for the mornings and evenings.
Winter — December to February
Winter brings cold temperatures to the mountains.
The air can be especially clear, and on good days Mt. Fuji can be beautifully visible from the campsite. The clear winter nights can also offer beautiful views of the stars.
Winter camping requires warm clothing and preparation for cold mornings and nights.
Our wood stove helps create a warm and comfortable atmosphere inside the tent, but please be prepared for genuine winter mountain conditions.
We do not normally accept international bookings during this period. However, if you would especially like to experience the campsite in winter, please contact us. Depending on the weather and conditions, we may be able to welcome you as a special request, and we will do our best to make your stay comfortable.
Spring — March to June
Spring brings fresh greenery and new life to the forest.
Temperatures gradually become milder, and the landscape around the campsite becomes greener as the season progresses.
Spring can also bring rain and changing weather, so we recommend bringing layers and suitable rainwear.
Weather & Mt. Fuji Views
Weather conditions can change from day to day in the mountains.
Clouds, rain, fog, and seasonal weather may affect the visibility of Mt. Fuji. Even during the clearest seasons, we cannot guarantee that the mountain will be visible during your stay.
We hope you will enjoy not only the view of Mt. Fuji, but also the quiet moments, fresh air, forest, and changing atmosphere of the mountains.
Weather & Safety
Camping is a nature-based experience, and weather conditions can sometimes affect your stay.
In the event of heavy rain, strong winds, natural disasters, or other conditions that may affect guest safety, we may need to cancel, postpone, or discuss changes to your reservation.
We will always prioritize the safety of our guests and communicate with you directly if weather conditions require a change of plans.
