The Journey That Led Us Here
The journey that brought us here.
Before this journey began, I experienced a serious accident that left me with a broken neck.
That moment changed the way I looked at life.
It made me think deeply about what is truly important and gave me the courage to step into a new path.
In 2010, I began a journey across Eurasia on a small motorcycle, traveling through Siberia and eventually reaching Morocco.
With only simple English and a kalimba, I met many people along the way.
Through those encounters, I experienced kindness, support, and connections from people around the world.
Those moments taught me that life is not only about what we achieve, but also about the people we meet and the memories we create together.
The kindness and support I received during my travels have always stayed with me.
Years later, those experiences and connections became one of the roots of magichour camp calyptus.
In 2015, we began living in the mountains of Shizuoka.
As we spent more time in this place, we became inspired by the surrounding nature and the challenges of the forest.
Little by little, we started creating a place where people and nature could share the same space.
This journey continues here, surrounded by the mountains, the forest, and the changing seasons.
We are Omi and Kumi.
Since 2015, we have been living in these mountains and slowly growing this place together with nature.
Through many years of working with the land, we have learned that this place is never truly finished.
The forest, the plants, the seasons, and the connections with the people we meet continue to shape magichour camp calyptus.
We are grateful for every encounter and every moment that brings new life to this place.
This place began with a simple idea: to create a space where people and nature could exist together.
From restoring the land and creating paths, to planting trees and flowers and carefully caring for the surroundings,
each step has become a part of this journey.
This place was not created overnight.
It has grown slowly through years of work, the changing seasons, and the many encounters that have taken place here.
Even today, magichour camp continues to evolve, guided by the forest and the passage of time.
